The difference between life and death is one breath!
If I feel cut off from my body, my emotions or my soul,
When I wonder who am I or why I'm here,
If I have difficulties trusting myself,
If I'm curious about the adventure of self-discovery
If I am ready to journey into myself and trust my own inner wisdom,
If the path is my destination,
Holotropic
Breathwork® heals my deepest wounds and reconnects me with life!
What is Holotropic Breathwork®?
People have always used the inherent opportunity to expand our consciousness in order to gain access to our inner wisdom and our self-healing powers - be it through trance, hypnosis, imagination, meditation, shamanic journeys, yoga, breathing techniques, dance etc.
In holotropic breathing, breath and music are the gateway through which an altered state of consciousness is reached. Here it is possible to perceive biographical, perinatal and transpersonal experiences and to recognize and resolve physical, emotional or energetic blockages.
Holotropic breathing was invented by psychiatrist and psychotherapist Dr. Stanislav Grof and his wife Christina Grof based on his experience with LSD-based therapy in the USA and is taught by Grof Transpersonal Training (GTT) worldwide.
A safe set and setting are fundamental for a meaningful holotropic breathing experience:
Medical clarification for possible contraindications (e.g. severe cardiovascular diseases, pregnancy, acute psychoses)
A detailed introduction to holotropic breathing
A physically and emotionally safe space that allows everything to be and expressed that wants to show itself
Sufficiently trained Holotropic Breathwork® Facilitator (one facilitator for 3-4 breathers)
Detailed information on and support in integrating the holotropic experience
How does a Holotropic session look like?
Holotropic Breathwork® ideally takes place in a group, even though Individual half day sessions are possible as well. In a group setting two breathing sessions take place (one as "breather" and one as "sitter"). The duration of a breathing session is always determined by the process of the breather. On average a session lasts around 3.5 hours.
